About the PepsiCo Canada Foundation

Formed in 1989, The PepsiCo Canada Foundation is a national registered charity that raises funds for charitable organizations that are focused on encouraging physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyle habits among Canadian youth, particularly those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to get involved in such programs.

The YMCA has been a recipient of funds from The PepsiCo Canada Foundation. These programs and others that the Foundation supports allow a growing number of under-privileged youth to have experiences that we believe will get them started on a life-long path toward healthy, active living.

How do we raise funds?

The annual PepsiCo Canada Foundation golf tournament is its primary fundraising initiative. With the support of PepsiCo Canada employees, sponsors, suppliers and partners, the tournament has raised in excess of $1,000,000 for The PepsiCo Canada Foundation since its inception. The golf tournament is held annually in July at Lionhead Golf and Country Club in Brampton, Ontario.

In 2016, The PepsiCo Canada Foundation introduced a new fundraising initiative, ‘Rock the Foundation’. This event is designed to be an evening of music and entertainment where sponsoring partners take the stage with their bands to put on a rock show in support of Canadian youth programs.
